SJI signs MoU for SuperCare Agreement with PT Sky Aviation

SuperJet International – a joint venture between Alenia Aeronautica (a Finmeccanica Company) and Sukhoi Holding – announced today the execution of a “SuperCare” Agreement with PT Sky Aviation for the after-sales support of its SSJ100 fleet of 12 aircraft, including the options.

The agreement was announced at MAKS International Aviation and Space Salon by Mr. Carlo Logli, Chief Executive Officer of SuperJet International, and Mr. Krisman Tarigan, President Director of PT Sky Aviation. This agreement follows up the order signed by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company with the Indonesian carrier.

SuperJet International will provide PT Sky Aviation carrier with customized spares availability and maintenance/repair solutions of on-board equipments for a period of 10 years.

The “SuperCare” agreement is a comprehensive “per-flight-hour” program developed by SJI with the aim of maximizing aircraft availability to operators and optimizing their maintenance and associated administrative costs.

“This agreement confirms the SuperJet international’s outstanding commitment in the worldwide after-sales support for the SSJ100 Program – states Mr. Carlo Logli, Chief Executive Officer of SuperJet International – Since the SSJ100 entry into service, we have been committed to ensuring an integrated lifecycle solution specifically designed for our valuable SSJ100 operators. A similar “SuperCare” agreement was also signed with the Mexican airline Interjet, with the Armenian Armavia carrier and shortly with Aeroflot”.

“We believe this is the right solution to boost our aircraft availability while minimizing costs and contribute in this way to the expansion of the Sky Aviation’s penetration to the South East Asia market“ states Mr. Krisman Tarigan, President Director of PT Sky Aviation.

The first Sukhoi Superjet 100 entered into revenue services with Armavia on April 21, 2011. The aircraft was put into operation in an extremely short period of time, two days after the official delivery to the launch customer on April, 19 2011. On June 16, 2011 the SSJ100 entered into commercial operation with the Russian airline Aeroflot from Moscow to St. Petersburg.
