The Russian Minister of Industry and Trades Viktor Khristenko visits SJI

On April 7, 2011 SuperJet International, joint venture between Alenia Aeronautica and Sukhoi Holding, was honoured by the visit of the Russian Federation Minister of Industry and Trades, Viktor Khristenko in Venice.
The Minister was welcomed by the President and Chairman of SuperJet International, Carmelo Cosentino and the Chief Executive Officer, Carlo Logli.
The President and Chief Executive Officer of Finmeccanica Pier Francesco Guarguaglini, the Chief Executive Officer of Alenia Aeronautica and Responsible for the Aeronautics Sector of Finmeccanica, Giuseppe Giordo, the President of United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and General Director of Sukhoi Holding, Mikhail Pogosyan participated to the meeting.
The visit of Mr. Khristenko testified the strong synergy and excellent cooperation between Italy and Russia also in the aeronautics sector, confirmed by the partnership between Alenia Aeronautica, a Finmeccanica Company, and Sukhoi Company established for the manufacture and sales of the regional jet Sukhoi Superjet 100.
The Minister recognised this project as a perfect example of industrial and cultural collaboration between the two countries. He greatly appreciated the major steps ahead of the SSJ100 Program: after the Type Certificate approval, the SSJ100 is now ready for the entry into service.
Mr. Khristenko visited the Show Room where the mock-up of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 is displayed and the Training Center devoted to the training courses of pilots, flight attendants and maintenance staff.
